Born in Leeds, England in 1937, Dougie is a self-taught drummer and percusionist, who's musical journey spans every genre, through a period in British musical history which not only changed the face of popular music, but did so with the exceptional talents of a breed of musicians, who were the backbone of the industry . . . the session musician!

This web site is a tribute to all the session singers and musicians, songwriters, arrangers, producers, sound technicians and the unsung heroes, who with a pioneering spirit, created a unique period in the history of popular music.

My undying gratitude and admiration is extended to all friends and colleagues of the 1960's and 1970's.
